BYU Law School is pleased to host the Fifth Biennial Emerging Immigration Scholars Conference on June 7-8, 2019. This conference provides a forum for immigration law scholars to receive and provide constructive feedback on scholarship in a supportive setting; attend panel discussions that focus on teaching, scholarship, and other issues relevant to the early stages of a career as an immigration law scholar; and connect with colleagues from across the country. The conference is especially geared toward immigration law professors who have fewer than 10 years of experience in legal academia or who are pre-tenured.
The conference will begin the morning of Friday, June 7, and end by 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 8, in time for participants to enjoy some summer outdoor activities or catch flights at the Salt Lake International Airport that evening.
To submit a proposal for a work-in-progress or incubator idea session, please see the proposal instructions here. For more information, please contact the conference planning chair, Kit Johnson (firstname.lastname@example.org) or any of the conference planning committee members below.
