FINDING COFFEE IN PROVO: AN EXERCISE IN FUTILITY?
BYU is affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and members of the Church do not smoke or drink alcohol, coffee, or (non-herbal) tea. As a result, smoking is not permitted on campus, the University does not reimburse alcohol expenses, and there is no place on campus to purchase coffee or tea. There is coffee at the Hyatt and Starbucks in the Provo Marriott and you are welcome to bring coffee or tea with you. We typically have caffeinated sodas on hand as well. If the absence of coffee or tea throughout the day will be a problem for you, please let me know so that we can make arrangements. We do not want to cause you distress!
Conference participants may reserve a room at the Hyatt Place Provo at a negotiated rate of $109 per night here by using the following group code: G-LAW2. If you have any difficulty booking a room at the negotiated rate, please contact Candice Poole, BYU Law Events Coordinator, at poolec@law.byu.edu or (801) 422-6385.
